(2)The registering authority may on receipt of such notice, require the owner of a motor vehicle to produce the certificate of registration in respect of the vehicle before him or his nominee, within seven days from the date on which such requisition was made for the purpose of the revision of the entries therein. The owner of such a motor vehicle shall produce the certificate of registration.
