Section 16 in West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961
16. Annual general meeting.
(1) Every society shall hold an annual general meeting at least once in every year and not more than fifteen months shall elapse between two successive annual general meetings.(2)The balance-sheet and the auditor's report referred to in sub-section (2) of section 15 shall be placed at the annual general meeting of the society.(3)For any contravention of the provisions of sub-section (1) or sub-section (2), every officer in default shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred and fifty rupees.
