(1)Every room which is intended for human habitation shall be provided for the purpose of light and ventilation with windows, doors or other aperture (having a total area not less than one-fourth of the floor area of the room) which open directly on to a space (not Jess than 8 feet wide) which is open to the sky or on to verandah opening on to such a space and these shall be so arranged as to ensure through ventilation to the satisfaction of the Executive Officer.
