Section 135(1) in Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Act, 1976
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in any law governing the local authority concerned, a Municipal Corporation, a Municipal Council or any other local authority having jurisdiction in any slum improvement area, shall provide water supply and drainage and scavenging, cleansing, lighting and other services, in the said area, as it provides in other areas within its jurisdiction, and also such additional services, as the Board may in respect of any slum improvement area specify in this behalf.
