- The Board at a meeting may grant leave of absence to its Chairman or Vice-Chairman for any period not exceeding three months in any one year:Provided that if a Chairman or Vice-Chairman who has been granted leave for the maximum period of three months overstays his leave, he shall be deemed to have vacated his office and the acting Chairman or Vice-Chairman, as the case may be, shall continue to act for him till the vacancy has been filled up by appointment or by fresh election at the next meeting of the Board.
