Section 25(1) in The Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya Act, 2000
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor in consultation with the Minister from a panel of three names of eminent persons in the field of agriculture and allied sciences, elected by the Council in accordance with the system of simple majority of votes.
