                                    ****
           SABINA, J.

Petitioner has filed this petition challenging the order dated 29.01.2014 (Annexure P-5).

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record available on the file carefully.

Charanjit Singh father of the petitioner was working with the respondents as a Lineman and died while in service on 28.10.2006. The petitioner moved an application to the respondents that she be provided a job on compassionate basis. The said application was dismissed vide impugned order Annexure P-5. Hence, the present petition.

Impugned order Annexure P-5 reads as under:- Sandeep Sethi 2014.07.23 15:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP No.8306 of 2014 -2-

"You had given an application for appointment on compassionate grounds on account of death of your father Charanjit Singh son of Niranjan Singh. In that regard you are informed that at that time when your father had died there was no provisions for giving of service in the department and in its place arrangements were made for payment solatium and in this case also a sum of Rs.3 lacs were sanctioned as solatium and its payment was made to the wife of deceased Smt. Balbir Kaur. As such your case cannot be considered for compassionate appointment now."

Thus, as per the prevalent policy, the family of the deceased was paid solatium to the tune of ` 3,00,000/-. Hence, the impugned order Annexure P-5 calls for no interference.

Dismissed.
