Section 8(1)(iii) in Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defence (Class II) Service Rules, 1988

(iii)By transfer from amongst the officers not below the rank of a Deputy Superintendent of Police of the State of Punjab or a Captain of the Armed Forces of the Union, if no suitable candidate is available by the aforesaid methods ;
