Section 35 in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
35. Mayor to preside over meetings of the Mayor-in-Council. -
(1)The Mayor shall preside over meetings of the Mayor-in-Council which shall meet at such place and at such time as the Mayor may direct.(2)The matters for discussion at a meeting of the Mayor-in-Council shall be prepared under the direction of the Mayor and shall be circulated to the members of the Mayor-in-Council in such manner as the Mayor may determine.
