Section 5 in Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission (Demand Side Management) Regulations, 2014
5. DSM Targets.
- 5.1 Each distribution licensee shall establish its DSM targets and get it approved by the Commission.5.2While approving DSM target for the Distribution Licensee, the Commission will give due consideration to factors such as consumer mix, load profile, etc.5.3Examples of DSM targets may include the following :(i)Percentage reductions in peak load growth;(ii)Savings in kW, kWh(iii)Savings as a percentage of total resources required to meet load;5.4While establishing the targets, the Commission shall consider the technical potential in the State as assessed by the Distribution Licensee.
