25. Compensation and penalty for excess recovery of rent.
- If any landlord recovers rent from any tenant in contravention of the provision of section 23 or 24, he shall forth with refund the excess amount recovered to the tenant and shall be liable to pay such compensation to the tenant as may be determined by the Mamlatdar, and shall also be liable to such penalty as may be prescribed by or under this Act.
