- Nothing contained in this Act shall apply to any loan advanced on a pledge in any area to which the provisions of this Act have been applied by a notification under sub-section (3) of section 1 before the expiry of three months from the date of such application, and notwithstanding anything contained in section 23 of this Act, the provisions of the [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Debtors Protection Act, 1934 ([Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Act VII of 1935), as they should before such application shall continue to apply to any such loan.
