Section 522(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)Court officers shall receive from officers-in-charge of police-stations or investigating officers articles intended for chemical analysis, both in railway and district cases and, after obtaining the orders of the Magistrate shall send them to the Chemical Examiner for examination with a letter describing them (see Appendix XVIII).
