Section 22(1) in The U.P. Water Management And Regulatory Commission Act, 2008
(1)The Commission may, for reasons to be recorded in writing, accept from any person who has committed or is reasonably suspected of having committed an offence punishable under this Act, a sum of money not exceeding rupees one lakh by way of composition fee and compound the offence.
