309. Application of certain sections to certificates. -
The provisions of sections 228 to 231 (inclusive) shall apply to and in relation to every certificate issued by the Central Government under sections 299, [299-A], 300, 301 and 302 in the same manner as they apply to and in relation to a certificate of survey.[309-A. Alterations pending issue of a safety convention certificate.- Where any survey of a ship for the purpose of issue under this Part of a safety convention certificate has been completed, then, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the owner, agent or master of the ship shall not, until such certificate has been issued, make, or cause to be made, any alteration in the structural arrangements, machinery, equipment and other matters covered by the survey without the prior written permission of the Central Government or a person appointed by that Government in this behalf.]Load lines
