(1)The Indian Police Act, 1861 (Act 5 of 1861) is hereby repealed in its application to the State of Uttarakhand.(2)The repeal under sub-section (1) shall not affect the previous operation of the enactments so repealed and anything done or act ion taken or deemed to have been done or taken earlier (including any appointment or delegation made or notification, order, direction or notice issued). Rules or regulations made under the provisions of the said Act shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act , be deemed to have been made under the corresponding provisions of this Act, and shall continue to be in force unless and until superseded by anything done or act ion taken under this Act.
