(i)The remuneration of Banihars shall be determined and paid by the Executive Engineer. It shall be met from the commission for administrative work which would have been payable to Irrigation Panchayat. If the amount of such commission falls short of the remuneration fixed, the difference shall be recovered from the permanent holders being determined in proportion to the area irrigated or under agreement held by him.
