Section 1 in Himachal Pradesh Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1969
1. Short title, extent, commencement and application.
(1)This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1969.(2)It extends to the whole of the [State] [Substituted for 'Union territory' by A.O. 1973, effective from 25th January, 1971.] of Himachal Pradesh.(3)It shall come into force at once.(4)It shall apply in the first instance to the limits of the Simla Municipal Corporation and to the municipal areas and cantonment limits; but the Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that it shall come into force in any other local area or shall apply to such establishments or class of establishments in such other areas as may be specified in the notification.
