Special Appeal Writ No.978/17, which stands dismissed in terms of peremptory order dated 11.9.17 passed by this Court.
The restoration application is reported to be barred fo 574 days.
It is noticed that the special appeal which stands dismissed in terms of peremptory order was also barred by limitation for 4243 days.
The only explanation furnished by the applicant for condonation of inordinate delay of 574 days is that the applicants are illiterate and they were not aware about the proceedings before the Court.
The litigants are required to keep themselves informed about the proceedings before the Court.
The explanation furnished is not found plausible and acceptable so as to condone the inordinate delay of 574 days, at (Downloaded on 08/07/2021 at 09:44:32 PM) (3 of 3) [WRES-206/2019] the instance of the applicants, who were negligent in pursuing the litigation throughout.
Accordingly, the application seeking condonation of delay is dismissed. Consequently, the restoration application is dismissed as barred by limitation.
