1. Short title extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Oil and Natural Gas Commission Act, 1959.(2)It extends to the whole of India [* * * *] [The words, "except the State of Jammu and Kashmir" omitted by Act 38 of 1962].(3)It shall come into force on such [date] [15th October, 1959, see Notification No. S.
