Section 340(1) in Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act, 2000
(1)The State Government shall by notification , constitute the Tree Authority consisting of the following:-(i)the Mayor of the Municipal Corporation ;(ii)the Commissioner ;(iii)the Divisional Forest Officer having jurisdiction over the city ;(iv)the District Horticulture Officer having jurisdiction over the city ; and(v)one Councillor to be nominated by the Mayor
