ORDER
By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The District Collector, Tiruvallur vide his order dated 11.11.2017, has instructed to the District Registrar, Kanchipuram not to register any unapproved layouts falling within the Bharath Nagar and Mahameru Nagar in Padianalur Panchayat of Sholavaram Block, Kumaran Nagar of Palavoyal in Theerthkariampattu of Puzhal Block. The District Collector has found that these unapproved layouts were affected the drainage network and the layout owners have completely encroached the existing PWD channels and waterways converted it as street for the unapproved layouts.
3. The State has already taken note of mushrooming of 2/4 http://www.judis.nic.in W.P.No.33299 of 2019 unapproved layouts and has come out with regulation scheme of 2017 and has amended the Registration Act by inserting Section 22(A), wherein, there is a prohibition of registering the unapproved layouts.
4. The proceedings of the District Collector dated 11.11.2017 is consonance of the said Act. Hence, I do not find any reason to entertain this writ petition and the same is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
