(3)[Subject to the provision of Sub-section (1), the Superintending Engineer] [Substituted vide O.G.E. No. 83 dated 20.1.2009.], shall cause arrangements for the election of a member of the Executive Committee from each chak by all the land holders of the chak by the method of secret ballot in the manner prescribed. In case of Lift Irrigation Points the Executive Engineer of Orissa Lift Irrigation Corporation or any other officer authorised by Government in this regard shall cause arrangements for the election of the members of the Executive Committee of the Pani Panchayat.
