(1)If, within four months from the date of the certificate of the final publication of the record-of-rights under Section 99-(i)the landlord,(ii)the tenant, or(iii)the occupant, in case the occupant has been recorded in pursuance of Clause (1) of Section 98, as entitled to hold the land but not without payment of rent, applies for a settlement of rent, the Revenue Officer shall, on payment of the prescribed fee, settle a fair and equitable rent in respect of the land held by such tenant or occupant.
