(3)The Senior Assistant Superintendent shall take the place of the Deputy Superintendent whenever that officer is temporarily absent from, or incapacitated for, duty, and, when the Deputy Superintendent is present, shall discharge such duties and assist in such ways, as may, from time to time, be prescribed, in writing, by the Superintendent.
