Section 35(2)(a) in The Assam Rifles Rules, 2010

(a)Close arrest in the case of officers, subordinate officers or under officers shall be imposed by placing such officer, subordinate officer, or under officer under the custody of another person of similar or superior rank and wherever considered necessary such officer, subordinate officer, or under officer may be confined under charge of a guard.
