Section 1 in The Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University Act, 1978
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the [Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University Act, 1978.] [Substituted 'Bhavnagar University Act, 1978.' by Gujarat Act No. 1 of 2012, dated 15.3.2012.](2)This section shall come into force at once and the remaining provisions shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions and any reference in any such provision to the date of the commencement of this Act shall be construed as reference to the date of the coming into force of that provision.
