Section 60 in The Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeths) Act, 1983
60. Special provision for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in services and posts in University.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the State Government shall have power to give to any University, from time to time, such directions as it may consider necessary in regard to categories of posts in which reservation of posts shall be made in favour of the member of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and the members belonging to other Backward Classes, the percentage of the posts to be reserved for them and any other matters connected with such reservation, and the University shall comply with such directions.
