Section 15(1) in Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Act, 2005
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the University and the Chairman of the Academic Council, and shall, in the absence of the Chancellor, preside at a convocation of the University and shall confer degrees on the persons, entitled to receive them.
