Section 16(1) in United Provinces Nurses, Midwives, Assistant Midwives Auxiliary Nurse-Midwives and Health Visitors Registration Act, 1934
(1)With the previous sanction of the [State Government] [Substituted by A. O. 1950 for Provincial Government.] the Council -(a)shall appoint a Registrar;(b)may grant leave to such Registrar and appoint a person to act in, his place ; and(c)shall pay to the Registrar and to the person, if any, appointed to act in his place such salary and allowances (if any) as the Council may determine.
