Section 12(1) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(1)Every person whose name is in [the list of voters] [These words were substituted for the words and figures 'either in part I or Part II of the final list of voters' by Maharashtra 20 of 1980, Section 19.] maintained under [Section 11] [These words and figures were substituted for the words 'the last preceding section' by Maharashtra 47 of 1973,Section 6.] shall be qualified to vote, and every person whose name is not in such list shall not be qualified to vote, at the election of a Councillor for the ward to which such list pertains.
