Section 8(1) in The Tamil Nadu Animals and Birds in Urban Areas (Control and Regulation) Act, 1997
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the foregoing provisions of this Act, the Government may, at any time, declare, by notification, the whole or part of an urban area, to be a prohibited area, if it deems fit so to do in the public interest.
