310. [ Confirmation of by-laws by [State Government] [These section substituted for the original section by section 126 of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 1930 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1930)].
(1)No by-law or cancellation or alteration of a by-law shall have effect until the same shall have been approved and confirmed by the [State Government] [The words 'Provincial Government' were substituted for the words 'Local Government' by the Adaptation Order of 1937 and the word 'State' was substituted for 'Provincial' by the Adaptation Order of 1950.].(2)Any by-law or cancellation or alteration of a by-law when it shall have been duly confirmed shall be published in the district gazette in English and shall come into operation three months after it has been so published.]Publication of Rules, By-Laws and Regulations
