Section 1 in The Khadi And Village Industries Commission Act, 1956

1. Short title and extent.

(1)This Act may be called the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act, 1956.
(2)It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Act comes into force in Pondicherry on 1.10.1963 vide Reg. 7 of 1963, Section 3 and Sch. I.Extended to Goa, Daman and Diu by Reg. 11 of 1963, Section 3 & sch.
