14. Penalty for construction or use of land and structure contrary to terms of lease.
(1)Whoever undertakes or carries out construction of or alterations to any structures on the demised plot contrary to the terms of the lease deed shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, and in the case of a continuing contravention, with an additional fine which may extend to five hundred rupees for every day during which such contravention continues after conviction for the first such contravention.(2)Any person who uses the demised plot and structures thereon contrary to the terms of the lease deed or in contravention of the provisions of any rules made in this behalf shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees.
