(8)Sentries will be relieved every two hours. Guards at headquarters will be relieved daily and at subdivisions at least every fortnight, provided that where the local conditions are exceptional and the difficulties of sending reliefs are great, the maximum period may be extended to a week in the former Case and to one month in the latter with the special sanction of the Inspector-General.
