Section 21(xi) in The Kalyani University Act, 1981
(xi)to pass appropriate order on the basis of the recommendation of the respective [Council for undergraduate studies] [Words substituted for the words 'Faculty Council for post-graduate and undergraduate studies' by W.B. Act 17 of 1999.] regarding affiliation of a college or an institution in one or more subjects or withdrawal of affiliation or recognition of a college or an institution or temporary take over of the management of an affiliated or a recognized college or institution;
