Section 234(1) in The Tamil Nadu Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006
(1)No building worker employed in building or other construction of work shall be required or allowed to work for more than 9 hours a day or 48 hours a week.
