Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherjee, Ld. PP Mr. Imran Ali Ms. Debjani Sahu ...for the State. Petitioners pray for anticipatory bail. Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners live separately than the de facto complainant. The husband was enlarged on bail by the jurisdictional Court.
Learned Public Prosecutor draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the de facto complainant suffered acid attack. He refers to the complaint lodged by the de facto complainant.
In her complaint, the de facto complainant claims that the petitioners were involved in the acid attack.
The medical report of the de facto complainant corroborates such claim.
In view of the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected.
2C.R.M. (A) 5775 of 2022 is dismissed.
