Section 28 in The West Bengal Standards Of Weights And Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1958
28. Penalty for obtaining excess weight or measure.
- Whoever in purchasing any article by weight or measure, obtains from the seller more than what is purported to be purchased shall, if the excess exceeds the prescribed limit of error, be publishable with fine which may extend to three hundred rupees.
