Section 1 in The West Bengal University of Technology Act, 2000
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the [Maulama Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal] [Substituted 'West Bengal University of Technology' by Act No. 4 of 2015, dated 6.4.2015.] Act, 2000.(2)It extends to the whole of West Bengal.(3)This section and section 24 shall come into force at once, and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force on such date or dates as the State Government may, by notification, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
