(6)In case of opencast workings, the overman shall ensure that-(a)sides of benches are kept properly dressed;(b)stability of benches is not endangered;(c)haul roads are kept maintained;(d)stability of overburden dumps is not endangered;(e)there is no over-crowding of men and machinery at the working faces;(f)adequate lighting is provided at the area under his control; and(g)adequate precautions as laid down in these regulations are taken before blasting operations is conducted;(h)all machinery and plant are operated in safe and secured manner.
