- The highway authority may, after obtaining the approval of the State Government by of notification in the Official Gazette, delegate any of its powers or duties under Sections 7 (c), 7 (d), 10, 20, 21, 23, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 or 43, of this Act to any officer or authority subordinate to it subject to such conditions if any, as may be specified in such notification.
