3. Establishment of the University.
(1)There shall be established, in the State of Himachal Pradesh, a University by the name of the Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla.(2)The University shall be a body corporate by the name of "Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla" having perpetual succession and a common seal, and may sue or be sued by the said name and shall be competent to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable and to contract and to do all things necessary for the purposes of this Act.(3)The seat of the University shall be at Ghandal (Shimla).
