43. The Director of Extension.
(1)There shall be a Director of Extension who shall be a whole -time salaried officer of the University.(2)The Director of Extension shall be appointed by the University Governing Council in accordance with the Statutes.(3)The salary and allowances and other conditions of service of the Director of Extension shall be such as may be prescribed.(4)The Director of Extension shall be responsible for the Fisheries and Ocean Studies Extension Education Programmes as set forth in Section 47.(5)The Director of Extension shall exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by the Statutes.
