Section 24 in West Bengal Co-operative Societies Rules, 2011
24. Power of General Meeting.
(1) The General Meeting of a Co-operative Society shall examine, in addition to those mentioned in section 29, the annual report regarding workings of the society and, in particular, the work of the Board and shall be competent to take all steps that may be necessary in the interest of the society.(2)Every resolution at a meeting shall be decided by a majority of votes and if the votes be equal, the matter shall be decided by the casting vote of the Chairman of the meeting.
