118. State Bureau of Police Research and Development.
The State Government may establish a State Bureau of Police Research and Development with provision for appropriate staff, funds and other resources to regularly undertake research and analysis on all such subjects and issues which may lead to improvement in the standards of Police functioning and performance. The State Government may also sponsor, in other reputed organizations and institutions, special studies and research in subjects having relevance to policing.
