31. Maintenance of certain prisoners from private sources.
- A civil prisoners or an unconvicted criminal prisoner shall be permitted to maintain himself, and to purchase, or receive from private sources at proper hours food, clothing, bedding or other necessaries, but subject to examination and to such rules as may be approved by the [Inspector General] [In section 3(1), 5, 6, 7, 11(2), 38, 41, 46, 56, 59, 60 and 62 the words 'the Government' substituted for the words 'His Highness' by Act X of 1996.],
