SURYA KANT, J. [ORAL] This order shall dispose of CWP Nos. 4417, 10750, 11240 and 11294 of 2009 as common questions of law and facts are involved therein.
The petitioners, who are serving in the Punjab Police, are aggrieved of the impugned orders vide which the benefit of pay fixation earlier granted to them has been withdrawn.
This Court vide order dated 04.03.2010 passed in CWP No. 566 of 2010 [Ranjit Singh & Ors. V State of Punjab & Ors.], has constituted an Officers-Committee consisting [i] Shri Parag Jain, IPS, IGP/Head Quarters, Punjab Police; [ii] Smt. Gurpreet Kaur Deo, IPS, DIG, Administration, Punjab Police Headquarters; and [iii] Shri M.S.Gill, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, attached with the DGP, Punjab to consider and redress the grievances of Police Personnel like the petitioners.
Since the factual assertions need to be ascertained to resolve the controversy, this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to make a comprehensive representations before the afore-stated Officers'-Committee, who shall then, after affording the petitioners or other officials likely to be affected an opportunity of personal hearing, make appropriate recommendations as early as possible and preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is received. The Officers-Committee shall keep in view all the parameters laid down in Ranjit Singh's case [supra] .
