COMMON  ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] These writ petitions seek issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to respondents to correct the Community and Caste of the petitioners in Transfer Certificates as Kurumans (ST) community instead of Kurumba based upon the community certificate issued to petitioners in proceedings in R.Dis A4/4501/2015 dated 26.11.2015 issued by Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirupattur, Vellore District to the effect that petitioners belong to Kurumans (ST) Community.

2. It is the case of petitioners that Petitioners' father and grandfather obtained Community Certificates stating that they belong to Kurumans (ST) Community. Petitioners' Paternal uncle Magendiran's Community Certificate was verified by State Level Scrutiny Committee and found genuine. Based upon the State Level Scrutiny Committee proceedings, Petitioners have got Community Certificates stating that petitioners belong to Kurumans (ST) Community, issued by The Revenue Divisional Officer, Thirupathur. Petitioners made representations to respondents requesting to correct their Community in the Transfer Certificates to Kurumans (ST) Community instead of Kurumba based upon the Community Certificates issued to them in R.Dis A4/4501/2015 dated 26.11.2015.

3. Heard learned counsel for petitioners and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate and learned counsel for respondents.

4. This Court, without going into the merits of the cases, directs second respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 13.11.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions is closed.
